Hi Angadh,
Apologies for the delay in getting this feedback to you.
Please bear in mind that there were a high volume of applications, more than we expected and overall the reason you may have not been selected for funding is that other proposals ranked higher than yours in the review process.
The specific points of feedback on your proposal are as follows.
-There were concerns from some reviewers about whether PI ‘s area of expertise will be appropriate to carry out this project. Perhaps this was not adequately demonstrated in the proposal.
-Another comment is: Impactful work, focusing on an under-explored area in misinfo research with a high-quality scientific method. Relatively modest goals given the amount of money that is requested.
- Another comment: Potential for societal impact, but it's not entirely clear how it will be delivered.
- Another comment: Link to Howler seems concerning. It doesnt provide much obvious benefit, and could create a potential conflict of interest given that Howler would benefit and it's not owned by the university but by "Howler technologies limited"
I hope this is helpful and that you will still apply to any other calls we might launch for this project. I think the idea is for any future calls to be more directed and specific in their descriptions. Wishing you all the best.
Regards
